The story begins in Japan in 1629, in the Shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu's government, in the midst of a tournament held by his younger brother Tokugawa Tadanaga. In it the swordsmen would not use their wooden swords (bokken) but rather traditional swords. The narrative begins with the first fight between Fujiki Gennosuke, who lacks an arm and Irako Seigen who is blind. Both are rivals of a dark past, full of treachings, envy and disputes over the hierarchy between the Kogan clan. With this premise, the story begins, told in an incredible and non-linear way.
Ronin Akitsu Masanosuke is a skillful and loyal swordsman, but his jealous and difficult nature made him discharged by the Lords who employed him. Hungry and aimless, he becomes a Yojimbo (bodyguard) of Yaichi, the charismatic leader of a gang called "Five Leaves". Despite being disturbed by the sinister activities of the gang, Masa begins to suspect that Yaichi's motives are not what they seem to be. Disregarding the suspicions, the more he deepens in the world of the five leaves, the more he fascinates by these mysterious, diabolical outlaws.
The story of the anime is in a "futuristic and post-apocalyptic feudal Japan", where, whoever gets the symbolic bandana of "number one" (The Strongest Man in the world), will command the world as a "God".

This organization still has two other members: Shimura Shinpachi, an otaku boy who aims to be a samurai, and Kagura, a very hungry girl who is part of the Yato clan, the most powerful in the universe. The three members of Yorozuya enter into great confusion and accept any work, any work at all!
Bonus: Vagabond (manga)
I had to mention that manga. It is considered by many to be the best of its kind. Currently there is still no adaptation to anime. But frankly, I don't think it pastes as an anime, the manga is an untouchable piece of art. Or is it not? I want to be surprised here. Yes, but sometimes the future is cruel…
The Best samurai Anime! My Code of conduct Bushido does not let me lie (IH, already lied)
Yes, only the best samurai anime. Even samurai being extinct nowadays, the bushido still lives. Its meaning is too vast to be explained here, so it gives a search there about Bushido. But if you want a sump of Bushido is there: brainwashing… So, yes. After brainwashing it's easy to go to war, fight alone and die with honor. In the Bushido teaches that death in battle is beautiful… Ihhhh, I don't know anymore, I'd rather die sleeping!!!
