7 animes to watch on Halloween/Witch's Day
Yes, anime to watch Halloween. Celebrated on October 31st, here in Brazil this day increasingly gains strength, thanks to American films and series, but still remains reluctant. As an act of protest was created the day of the Saci on the same day 31, on Halloween…
Fuck Saci. I prefer the ass suck, more cool, mysterious and Chup Chup. Halloween means Holy Night, was taken by the Irish to the U.S. and popularized by the same. Until you get here in Brazil as a Halloween… Fuck, nothing to do with it.
Ghost Hunt (Ghost)
Ghost Hunt is the adaptation of a manga of the same name published in 1998 which in turn was based on a Novel of 1989 Fuyomi Ono (Shiki). He will tell several stories of supernatural cases about the prospect of a paranormal research team contracted to solve these cases. The protagonist of the story is a schoolgirl who meets the head of the paranormal team during an investigation in her college and ends up joining the team officially afterwards.

On his first day at school, Satsuki goes to the abandoned school that was built near his current school and discovers that the building is haunted. Thus, he soon discovers that his mother was responsible for sealing several ghosts that haunted not only the school, but also the whole city, but that they were freed due to urbanization that occurred in that place. So, fearing this would happen, Satsuki's mother left a detailed book on how to exorcise the ghosts once and for all.
Kore wa Zombie desu ka? Zombie
The story centers on a student named Ayumu Aikawa who was murdered by a serial killer. Shortly before he died he met a girl named Eucliwood Hellscythe (also called by him of Yuu). Like Yuu, she's a necromancer, she can revive him like a zombie. He then continues "living" to seek out his murderer and get revenge.
Highschool of the Dead (zombie)
On a common morning, everything happened as normal as any other day. From the roof, Komuro Takashi, the main character, observes a strange event at the gates of the college: a suspicious man is causing confusion. One of the professors trying to expel him, ends up being bitten by the suspicious man and amid the cries of despair of the other professors he rises, but now he is a zombie.
Jigoku Shoujo (Legends)
400 years ago, in a peasant village, there was a ritual to give good harvest, where a seven-year-old girl should be sacrificed every seven years as an offering to the gods. In this, Enma was chosen for the sacrifice, for being seven years old, and also for being considered a "monster" of the village, when a boy saw her return to life a butterfly that had died. But even though he was prepared to die, his parents entrusted her to her cousin, Sentarou, to hide her so she wouldn't be buried alive.
Witch Hunter Robin (witches)
The anime takes place in the middle of the twentieth century where witches are part of reality. Some are unaware of what they are, or the power they have, others use that power for personal gains. However, there are still those who use the power to try to break the laws. For this it was created the group STN-J, formed by the secret organization known as STN. This organization consists of wizards and witches, thus forming a circle of power almost ruthless against other witches that threaten Tokyo. When one of the team members is killed under somewhat suspicious circumstances, a new and powerful member of the group is then highlighted, capable of manipulating the element of fire. This is where the main protagonist of the story emerges, Robin. She is able to put anything or person on fire just with her gaze.
Aoi Bungaku Series (Tales of Terror)
The series consists of six adaptations of modern classics of Japanese literature: Osamu Dazai is no more human (Ningen Shikaku) & Run, Melos! (Hashire, Melos!), the heart of Natsume Soseki (Kokoro Natsume Soseki), the Inferno screen of Ryunosuke Akutagawa (Jigoku Hen) & the Spider web (Kumo in Ito), and Ango Sakaguchi in the forest under the Falls of cherries flowers (Sakura no Mori no Mankai in Shita).
Bonus: Junji Ito (manga of Horror)
Junji Ito's horror manga collection, perfect for Halloween. These manga are the definition of terror, and even being short stories are well crafted in plot, each with its peculiarity. Recently released the anime, but go for me, start with the manga, give value to this artwork made in the smallest detail.
Trick or Treat? Yes, anime to watch on Halloween/Witch's Day
The main tradition on Halloween is to ask for sweets by the door-to-door neighborhood. Children or Mongolian giants who think they are children will ask for sweets saying "trick-or-treat" in English. Back in the US, the big deal is trick-or-treating with magic tricks or just scaring the kids. Here in Brazil you are received with bullet, not to suck, to kill yourself. He won't even let you finish the sentence and you'll win a bullet. How efficient, huh? Thanks to my dear friend Aghatacblack from Discord, who gave the idea of the post. I just wish a lot of luck on her future blog. That's it, until the next post!
Note: Since Halloween is also mischief, I have decided to also list humor anime with terror.
